Applied Kinesiology

Applied Kinesiology (AK) is a standard of diagnosis used by the chiropractor to evaluate the integrity of the nervous system.

AK evaluates the whole body system, using specific muscle testing. Muscle testing is used as an indicator for the state of the body at a particular time. A muscle goes "weak" to specific stimuli indicating nervous system stress.

All corrections are performed using manual adjusting techniques, cranial work, respiratory adjustments, meridian therapy, nutrition and deficiencies, mobilisations & myofascial release.

AK is a very useful technique used to identify problems in the body as a whole and can effectively indicate body system dysfunction. AK is a post graduate specialty training.
